Hopi WILSON MOWA Sterling Longhair Angak'tsina Kachina Katsina BROOCH ca 1980's

A superbly made round Sterling Silver overlay Brooch by Hopi artist Wilson MOWA. This brooch is from my personal collection and dates from the early 1980's. The brooch features a Longhair Kachina or "Angak'tsina", a true Hopi Kachina who brings the fulfillment of life. The brooch also has the very old design of a bird wing. Signed on the reverse with the artist hallmark and the Hopi Guild hallmark. Has a working pin back with safety clasp on the reverse. Would make an exceptional addition to any collection of Native American art.
