Emile Puiforcat: Antique French Sterling Silver vermeil & Crystal Shot Glass Set of 10
Drenched in gold, this wonderful set of ten shot glasses produced by Emile Puiforcat in the 1800's. Each crystal shot, or cordial, has a French sterling silver vermeil sleeve(.950 parts silver). The sleeve, or cuff, is ribbed, fluted on the lower portion. At the top, the silver is pierced and inset with bow and ribboned floral swags. The edge is engraved with a marvelous circular chain decoration. Condition is excellent. There are no monograms. This set is a perfect gift, a perfect way to entertain your guests.
Dimensions: The glass insets are 2 5/8" tall and 1.75" diameter. The sterling cuff is 1.75" tall, 1.75" diameter and weighs 28 grams.
Marks: each piece bears the Minerve 1st titre, the French guarantee for .950 parts silver. Each also bears the maker's punch for Emile Puiforcat.
