Fabulous set of 6 spoons, decorated with snapping griffins at the handle terminals. Said griffins poised within a flowing floating nest of elegantly chased acanthus leafs. The spoons are in excellent condition and come with a velvet lined period box (that is not original to the set). Each spoon bears the maker's punch for renowned master silversmith Victor Boivin, active in Paris from 1897. The Minerve 1st titre clearly marked on all; the French sterling guarantee (in France, the sterling .950 parts silver, cf the .925 sterling standard extant in the US and the UK).
Dimensions: the spoons are 6.25" long, 1 1/8" at the widest and weigh 25 grams each.
