Utterly charming tea caddy spoon, decorated with endearing mascaron peeking over the tip of the handle. The scallop shape shell brilliant and sparkling. The handle also adorned with a guilloche decoration, swirling cross acanthus leafs, trumpets as well as a large flower blossom trailing verdure. Condition is perfect. The piece is marked with the Tete Sanglier; the French small silver guarantee for items of at least .800 silver; and the maker's punch for Jaques Bourgoin, active in Paris in 1836. So this piece is very old; amazing to find it in such fine condition.
Dimensions: The spoons is 3.75" long, 1.75" at the widest and weighs 12 grams.
