Charming boxed set of antique French Empire style hors d'-oeuvres pieces. The elegantly simple decoration of the handles, an acanthus leaf ensemble, the perfect ground for the service ends. The spoon bowls in shell and rocailles form, intricately wrought, chased and plated with 18k gold. The tongs terminate in similarly detailed lion's paws. Only the trident shaped fork terminal shares the understatement of the handle. The set is in the original box, and without monogramming. Condition is excellent. A terrific gift for a loved one - or yourself....and best of all affordable!
Marks: each piece bears the Maker's Punch for Parisian silversmith Edmond BONNESCOEUR active late 1800's and the Minerve 2nd titre, French guarantee for at least .800 parts silver. Please refer to images for measurements.
