Henri Gabert: 6 Antique French Silver Vermeil Coffee Spoons: a la Russe

Truly eye candy set of six demi-tasse or coffee spoons made of vermeil, or gold plated silver. Decoration includes ribbed handles with silver foliate and floral vines twining around and around. The bottoms of the handles widen, wrapped with a wide rocailles band, exquisite chasing. The golden cartouches are edged with rocailles. And the terminus is reminiscent of a Russian cathedral tower. The back of the spoons, where the bowl meets the handle, adorned with a charming lattice framed with more rocailles. These spoons celebrate rocailles. Condition is excellent; some very minor wear to the gold plate in a few places. The set comes with presentation box.

Dimensions: each spoon is 5.5" long, 1' at the widest. Combined weight is 75-80 grams. Each spoons has the punch for Henri Gabert, active in Paris from 1882-1901. And the Tete Sanglier; the silver guarantee of at least .800 for small items.
