Mount Vesuvius Red Dish Lava Cameo

This beautiful oval high relief red dish lava cameo dates back to the 1850s. It is hand carved and signed on the back with the letters "A E C". It most likely comes from the Pompeii area. It features a female head and is set in silver metal. This special pin is one inch by .75 inches, height 27.5, width 24mm, depth 8mm, weight 6.3g.
