This book of 24 half tone photograph studies of the famous dancer Isadora Duncan by Arnold Genthe made during the 1915-1918 visit to America at the height of her career. Foreword by Max Eastman. Publisher: Mitchell Kennerley. New York and London, 1929. Black ribbed cloth over boards with titles and vignette in gilt. Photos printed on rectos (right side pages) only. No page numbers. Photos 1-10 are head shots; 11-24 posed recreation action shots. All photos approx. 5 7/8" X 7 1/2." Cover excellent, only the most minor of rubbing and shelf wear. Pages are near pristine: unsoiled, no writing, no previous owner's signature, faint staple marks on two opening blank pages. Missing original slipcase.
