Exquisite 1930's Purple and Prints Fabrics Yo Yo Quilt
This 1930's yo yo quilt is just gorgeous and is in exquisite condition. Made with hundreds of 2 1/4" round gathered yoyos in purple solids contrasted with a great selection of printed cotton and feedsack fabrics typical of the depression era. The fabrics are bright, colors strong, the threads connecting the yo-yos are strong and intact, and I have repaired the few that were loose. Found at an estate sale in Maryland. I have not washed it. I think it was well stored. Here's the best part. There are two available, Price is for one. So, first come first served you can take your pick. I decided to sell them separately, since they're not exactly a match. They're twin size, but one is a bit longer than the other, but the fabrics match perfectly. One on the left is the smaller one. It measures 56" x 92" not counting the individual yo-yos that embellish the side edges. The one on the right is longer. It has an extra row of purple. It measures: 56" x 100" not counting the individual yo-yos that embellish the side edges. Kind of like big and little sisters, they would love to stay together though! One of the prettiest examples of this pattern I've had. If you've always wanted one for your collection or for your romantic cottage chic or country decor, don't let this one pass you by! Or buy them both. Happy to combine to save on shipping.
