Gorgeous VICTORIAN Meriden Silverplate Antique Figural BEE INSECT Signed Napkin Ring

This gorgeous Victorian era estate napkin holder ring is done in silverplate. It has a beautiful and unusual design with the base being shaped like an artist's palette. On the palette is a bee just ready to sip nectar from the flowers above. The silverplate has a hammered texture and the other side of the ring part is plain. The top of the ring is engraved with fancy initials - they are so fancy that I can't say for sure what they are. The first letter could be either an E F or C - the middle letter is for sure an A and the last letter could be an F E or T.

The napkin ring is signed MERIDEN with scales B. COMPANY and is numbered 239. It measures about 3 3/8" by 2 1/4" across the base. The width of the ring is a little over 1 1/2" and the opening is about 1 3/4". The napkin ring measures almost 2 1/2" high.

Good antique condition with typical age appropriate wear and darkening as shown. We have not polished it. You will treasure this!!!
