Precious pure silk French Bebe Costume for antique Jumeau doll

The DRESS measures 4" (10 cm) shoulder seam to shoulder seam, 11" (28 cm) shoulder to hemline, 9,5" (24 cm) around chest and 12,5" (32 cm) around hip. The sleeves measures 3,5" from armpit to wrist (hem of cuff) and 5" from shoulder to wrist.The material is a precious 1870's antique pure silk in black,mauve,fuchsia,purple,violet and burgundy shades,texture is a combination of soft taffeta and striped satined shine. Completely lined in antique black taffeta. The underskirt has several rows of different antique black lace. The dress is ornate with black scalloped breaded silk antique trim and decorated with 6 old lined buttons. The back closes with 5 pairs of antique black metal hooks and eyes.

The CAPELET (small cape) measures 4,5" from neck to hemline. Made of same material as the dress,fully lined in antique taffeta. Front ornate with antique silk embroidery applique. Pleated collar ties with breaded silk loops.

The BONNET measures 7" around brim (face of doll.Same materials as dress and capelet. Completely lined,neck has antique grossgrain ribbon.It ties with antique satin ribbons.

EXCELLENT CONDITION.Only the dress has some pin sized tiny holes (almost not visible) due to age of material.Most of seams made by hand with minuscule stitch and meticulous work. Exquisite combination of spiritual mystic colours and extremely rare to find antique material...!
