Exquisite Japanese Kutani Satsuma Covered Jar with 100 Men & Women Meiji

Beautifully, intricately painted with extraordinary brush work with sumptuously rich raised enamelled brocade patterns; simply dazzling to the eye, truly amazing detail that my camera tried very hard to pick up but is so much more lovely in person. In PERFECT condition! Japanese characters inside. If anyone knows what they say ,please email us and we will post. measures 4 3/4" high x 3 3/4" wide. Even the base is beautiful with raised turquoise, little jewels.Signed on the base. A Masterpiece of Japanese workmanship. The gold does not show up in all photos because of the flash on camera. Next to last photo is done without flash; shows more gold but not sharp image. Also a little line near elderly man; now removed.. A RL person was kind enough to write that this is"Japanese Kutani" "micro calligraphy" "art work is called Saiji" "started in 1898" " perfected by Seizan Oda( or Oda Seizan)" "inside usually love poems or a story" "100 immortals" I researched and found this one listed has extraordinary delicate brushwork.. the best I have seen. please search for yourself.. Comes with a carved Rosewood Stand that is not shown
