Lovely Art Nouveau,Sterling Tray of a Gibson Girl with with flowing hair with a Butterfly behind her ( or She is an Angel!) with beautiful Lily Flowers with fascinating repousse details, amazing workmanship! William Kerr started his company in Newark, New Jersey in 1855.he is known for his beautiful Repousse style. This was probably created in 1890, maybe part of his "American Beauty Series" of Gibson Girls.. Measures 5 1/8" W. X 1/2" H. Someone reinforced the back to protect the sterling that is thin; can be removed. Signed "Sterling" " a Hatchet & fascia" and the # 1222.
