Published by Bobbs Merrill, Indianapolis. Copyright 1910 Nice tight copy with wear on spine, edges, joints and corners. Spine and and back boards appear to have been mended. McCutcheon was a cartoonist for the Chicago Tribune(he received a Pulitzer Prize for cartoons in 1932) and relates his account of a 4-1/2 month hunting safari to Africa, where he met "Colonel" Theodore Roosevelt. Lavishly illustrated with photographs of natives, expedition members and dead animals. Not to mention McCutcheon's cartoons and other pictures. Small quarto size with gilt-titled, olive cloth boards. 402 pages.
