Ancient Decorated Hellenistic Jug, 800-700 B.C.

Found in an early Greek settlement in Italy, a brown, paint-decorated jug of fawn-colored terracotta with a bulbous body and applied strap handle. There is no major damage or signs of repair. Some chipping at lip and minor paint loss. Mineral deposits overall. A good example of early decorated classical pottery at an affordable price!

From an old Dutch collection. Measures 5-1/2" tall by 4" diameter.

We deal only in bonafide antiquities from reputable sources and will gladly refund the full price of any piece that fails laboratory age testing of the opinion of any professional archaeologist or anthropologist.
