CUNARD LINE Brown Cube 4 1/2" Pitcher, circa 1950

The Cunard White-Star cruise ships used CUBE ceramic pieces from about 1920 - 1980. Some CUBE pieces were patterned, others were solid colors. The original cube teapot dates to 1917.

This circa 1950 souvenir ceramic Cube pitcher was made for the Cunard Line by George Clews & Co. Ltd. Tunstall For Stonier & Co. Ltd., Liverpool, England. It is finished in a brown glaze and marked on the bottom with "Souvenir Cunard Line Ltd". It measures 2 7/8" square and 4 1/2" high. George Clews & Co. Ltd. cube pieces were used onboard The Queen Mary.
