If you collect antique oddities, this plate may interest you.
This creamware plate is circa 1800 and we are offering it here at Ruby Lane because it is quirky. The condition of the plate is fair. Its edge is rough, its back is aged, and there is one chip on its back edge. BUT, the interesting thing about this plate is that when the transfer was executed, the maker made a spacing mistake and placement errors.
The diameter of this plate is 10". It has an impressed mark of "20" and has no maker's mark. The scene scape includes architectural elements, people, a dog and a river valley.
Other remark: We could not capture in a photograph the fact that when one passes fingers over the face of the plate, one can feel slight elevation differences in the surface, including a round shallow in the center of the plate that measures 1-2".
