This is a very nice oblong celluloid photo album. The front cover shows a house in a wooded area with a pond and a lady with three children and a dog. In the background is a church and another small house. It has a flowered border and at each corner there is an embossed scrolling. The back of this album is done in a yellowish gold and emerald green with black paisley print or flowered patterned velvet. It is in good condition with some wearing on one of the edges, otherwise in good condition. The binding is in good condition with little wear. The brass latch on the end is in good working condition and does latch. There is writing on the inside of the cover (I think in Swedish) about getting ready for a party and a list of names with how much was paid by each person. Possible this photo album was a gift. There are 14 pages with double photo slot on each page front and back. Some of them have been torn from the addition and removal of photos. As can be seen from the pictures there is a news paper cut out of a girl in one of the photo frames and two news paper cut outs of two men. One of the men is named John J. Daniels. There is some brown discoloration on the inside pages due to age. This album measures approximately 12" across by 9" long and is 2" deep. This album does show wear due to age but is in fair condition. It would make a nice addition to display on a coffee table or in a room on a dresser.
