This is a very early elegant spoon holder. It has a scalloped top and has a beaded or banded grape pattern. It was produced by the Boston Silver Glass Co. between 1869-1871. This is per The Collector's Encyclopedia of Pattern Glass. It is approximately 5 1/2" high and has one air bubble on the base, which is not uncommon. Otherwise it is in excellent condition with no cracks, or chips.
