This hand painted TE-OH 7" mug, sometimes referred to as E-OH, by Nippon is in fairly good condition. There are no chips or cracks and has only the slightest crazing starting on the bottom of the piece.
It dates to 1886-1912. It has pink flowers and green leaves with the occasional gold leaf painted in as well. The top of the mug is also painted in gold gild as is/was the handle trimmed in it. Most of the gold on the handle is worn away.
The mark is blue and is found on page 32, in The Collector's Encyclopedia of Nippon Porcelain by Joan F Van Patten. The mug pattern on page 133 and price on page 231. This particular floral scene was not featured, how ever the other hand painted scenes were valued from $600.00-$700.00.
