23" bisque doll by the German firm Armand Marseille. Lovely face with blue eyes. She has hair upper eye lashes as well as painted lower lashes. The sleep eyes open and close freely, but one glass eye is either scratched or cracked (but as we all say, hardly noticeable). The bisque head has been blacklighted and there are no hairlines, cracks or repairs. There are 3 black "freckles" from the kiln firing, and a small rub on her cheek, as well as a small hair pull on the back of her head. Incised 288 Queen Louise Germany 7.
The composition ball jointed body is in acceptable condition. It has overall wear as well as some repair and well-done repaint. The hands look good.
The doll has been redressed in a newer dress made of satin-type fabric and a hat that is not exactly the same fabric, but blends nicely. She has a synthetic wig with long curls.
Very pretty doll with some issues, but priced accordingly. Layaway available.
