1930's Silk Brocade Purse *Pretty & Petite

This gorgeous little bag measures 4 1/4" inches at the frame, 5 1/2" long including the 1/2" clasps and 6 " at it's widest. The fabric is a polished black silk satin with gold metallic weave, heavily gathered at the base of the frame. It has no chain, just an embossed finger ring, a lovely embossed gold plated frame and ball clasps, nearly pristine black satin lining, with two small pockets.

Excellent vintage condition: the gold metallic threads have mellowed with age and aren't as vibrant as perhaps they once were - still beautiful; the clasp has a little bit of gold mellowing and a little misshaped, but closes and is pliable so may be fairly easily reshaped. Not a detraction to the beauty of this little purse.
