1920's Reversible Silk Cape *Velvet to Rose & Gold Damask

This art deco piece begins with a lovely soft dense beaver collar measuring a glorious 36" across the ruched neckline and 13" at it's widest point. On one side of the cape is a rich brown silk velvet, ruched at the shoulders. Masterfully designed with a single button closure at the collar to show off the most visually arresting display that lies beneath. On a background of the finest "antique-rose" colored silk springs a sinuous art deco tapestry - an expert gold metallic weave of incredible detail and artistry. Again, ruched at the shoulders - one seam down the center back. In excellent vintage condition with vibrant silk and gold - no frays, no snags, no signs of wear. Uncleaned - as found.
