This art deco beauty is an absolute show stopper. The attached underdress is a STUNNING gold lame. The outer layer is an ecru assuit shawl dress. The wonderful side-ruched gold lame skirt is exposed by high slits. These fabrics are a perfect marriage. The natural warmth of the wrapped, pressed and hammered brass pieces enhance the beauty of this creation. All of these elements combine to create an incredible antiqued look, both resplendent and refined.
Size: Medium. Bust: 39" Waist: 39" Hips: 40" +
Length 41" front tapering to 44" in the rear.
Condition: The shawl has been hand tea-dyed and therefore the color does not have a completely uniform appearance. This was done by design and is not a flaw in combination with the lame slip. There is a very small hole in the netting at the front of the skirt (use zoom on third photo). The gold lame lining around the neckline has frayed a bit, but in our opinion is not a detraction. A repair on either shoulder (the photo shows the worse of the two and the one small rust spot we could find) where the shawl was reinforced. The gold lame lining is in excellent condition with some tarnishing along the bottom hem, which is not seen when worn.
Overall, a dazzling a wearable dress!
