May I say "Faux-Chanel"? (I just did - with a hyphen to avoid search engines!) This is a chic and lovely unlabeled 1930's ensemble. Please note that I had to overexpose these photos to capture the detail in the lace.
Pictured here with a vintage brooch (not included), the gown features a fitted heart-shaped lace bodice, velvet spaghetti straps, metal side zipper, and taffeta lining. The semi-full, long skirt is fashioned from a crisp black tulle and adorned with strips of black lace. The jacket lace matches the bodice, but, of course, it is unlined. It is a timeless and beautiful 1930's ensemble.
Condition: Very Good vintage condition. A couple of pea sized holes in the skirt tulle 3 rows down in the front. Noticeable on close inspection, and when under harsh lighting. A small repair required to the lace on the front of the jacket near the sleeve. I can not detect any other damage in the lace, but for a few frays here and there on the skirt, but it is not deteriorating. The lace appears slightly "dull" in harsh lighting, which is age-appropriate and normal, but I want to be thorough.
Size: Small; Bust: 34"; Waist: 26-27" (hard to determine); Hips: 36-38"; Length: 56". Jacket: Small. Please email me if you need any help with measurements.
