Vintage Elizabeth Taylor Lapel-Pin Brooch Perfume Atomizer

This is very cool vintage lapel-pin atomizer popularized by Elizabeth Taylor in the movie "Father of the Bride". I believe the movie came out in the 1950's and she was wearing one of these pins. The pin looks like an old fashioned bug sprayer. It is gold plated. Measures 2 inches long. The plunger is supposed to pump and spray the perfume. I can't get it to pump and I'm afraid of breaking it so will say it is non working. This is new old stock and has been sitting in storage for a lot of years. I imagine something is dried up inside. This is in the original advertisement fold out and in the original shipping box. If you sent 50 cents and one Shredded Ralston box top to Ralston Purina Co. Checkerboard Square in St. Louis you could get one of these pins. The shipping box is torn a bit on one end flap. The tarnish will polish off. I tried a tiny spot.
