Antique Silber & Fleming Box-Back Dolls House, fully furnished

This charming little painted wooden doll house with stone, orange and yellow brick exterior, stands on a green base with steps leading to wooden front door and portico. The central white front door is surrounded with two columns. On the front, you have eight rectangular glazed windows with painted window bars, green molded sills and white surrounds.

Open the front and follow me inside. What a beautiful arrangement of curtains ! The house is separated in three floors, each fitted with an elegant fireplace. The three rooms also feature lovely wallpapers (some appear original). It is well-furnished with a delicate inspiration. You are in the 19th century ...

On the ground floor, you are invited in the kitchen by the Cook herself, a doll house doll. She shows you the metal cooker (Anchor) and the buffet with a lot of accessories : pots, jugs, plates, metal accessories. The kitchen table is embellished with inlaid designs of contrasting woods. This table and the matching chairs were produced in Thuringia and neighboring areas from the early part of the 19th century. Look ! There are two ivory mice in the kitchen ! Where is the cat ? On the first floor, bel étage in French, are three nice faux-grained furnishings: a square table, a chest of drawers and a glazed cupboard. Please seat down in a beautiful comfortable pink sofa 3 3/8"(8.5 cm) wide. You find its matching armchairs and chairs, a mirror, an ormolu frame by Erhard & Sohne, some other accessories.

On the second floor take place a Biedermeier bedroom, with a wooden bed 4 1/8"(10.5 cm) long, a dressing table with thin opaline accessories, a cupboard, a balloon chair, a metal gilded cradle 1 5/8"(4 cm) long with its all-bisque Baby ! Its mother is a dollhouse doll, 3 1/8"(8 cm) tall, with a violet dress with train, and her all-bisque sister, 2 "(5 cm) tall, is playing with the dog on the needlework carpet.

The house measures 24 "(61 cm) high, 12 5/8"(32 cm) wide, 7 1/8"(18 cm) deep. The Base measures 8 5/8"(22 cm) deep on 12 5/8"(32 cm) wide.

The house, the furniture and the dolls are in excellent condition. The lighting system has been reviewed.

House circa 1890. All dolls and furnishings from the 19th century.
