Meiji Period Japanese Porcelain Vase with Basket Woven Metal Overlay

Exquisite Japanese cobalt blue ceramic vase is of an elongated ovoid form is from the Late Meiji Period (1868-1912). It is overlaid with narrow bronze strips that are decorated with a subtle bamboo motif that terminates at the shoulder and neck in a finely woven basket weave as well as at the base and foot. It is 7 ¾” in height, and in excellent condition.
