This exquisite early 19th century Thai Buddha has delicate features and elongated ears which are symbolic of his previous princely life style, inlaid glass eyes, and a tightly curled unisha that is bordered with inlaid jewels as well as the borders of his robe and sash. His right hand is holding a precious jewel while the other hand is holding the lower portion of his robe. He is wearing an elaborately decorated robe with a draped sash and foliate borders and standing on a lotus pedestal that is attached to a circular gilt wood base with three small attached acolytes.
