Chinese Lacquered Lotus and Lily Leaf Trunk

This Chinese beautifully lacquered wood trunk is from the mid-20th Century, and has large green lotus leaves and lily flowers with birds in flight on the top and sides, with large calligraphy on the backside. The inside is papered throughout with black calligraphy on a white ground. It has metal brackets on each corner and lock plate. The truck is attached to a wood base that is ¼" high, it is heavy. It is 13 ¾" high x 23 ½" wide x 13 ½" deep.
