Silk Appliqué of Shou-Lao, God of Longevity

This Silk Appliqué of Shou-Lao the god of longevity is from 1930’s - 1940’s, he is carrying a staff with a dragon head in one hand, a peach in the other hand, and a small deer standing nearby. The colorful appliqué is highly padded, his beard is gray hair, red ground with a white silk mat, enclosed in red-lacquer frame with gilt corners. It is 24" high x 15" wide (frame 36" x 25").
