Chinese Zhou-style bronze ritual vessel known as a gui was used for food offerings. The finely cast circular vessel with a tall pedestal foot with large mythological bird handles, high-relief side detail, the overall ground with intricate archaistic motif. It has calligraphic symbols on the inside and traces of earth on the base. Age: Mid-Late 19 th Century It is 6 ½" high x 8" wide.
