Irish Belleek Butterfly Vase

Belleek Porcelain started around 1857 in the Irish town of Belleek. John Caldwell Bloomfield was the original founder . The River Erne, which flows through the town, provided power to mill the components of the porcelain material. The slip ingredients (raw materials for the porcelain) were local and easily attainable. Belleek is still in business today, and as then they still make very high quality porcelain wares.

Offered is this small vase. It has butterflies embossed into the surface on opposite sides. The vase is 3 and 1/2 inches tall and the mouth is 2 inches across. The gilded edges look to be perfect, as does the rest of the vase. The Belleek logo is clearly imprinted on the bottom.
