Original Westward Ho Spooner by Gillinder & Sons
In the late 1800's the Gillinder and Sons Glass Company of Philadelphia introduced the Westward Ho line of glass ware. The pattern was also known as Pioneer and Tippecanoe, but the Westward Ho name endured. The spooners featured a deer, a buffalo, and a log cabin. Many Westward Ho items have been reproduced and copied, but this is an original.
The spooner is 6 and 3/4 inches tall and about 3 and 3/4 inches across at the mouth. It is in absolutely wonderful condition, and has no chips or cracks.
