Armand Marseille 1894 17" boy, dressed as a sailor

This boy dressed as a sailor is 17" tall. He is incised "1894, AM 3 DEP, Made in Germany". His head has no damage. He wears his original pate and blond mohair wig. He has very dark brown open and close eyes. His brows are heavy and feathered. He has upper and lower painted lashes. His coloring is pale and his cheeks are lightly blushed. His lips are also lightly painted and he has four upper teeth. Because many of the 1894 models were made for the French market, that could explain his pale coloring, heavy brows and dark eyes. His body is in very good condition with its original body finish. The arms have straight wrist and one finger has been repaired. There are some paint rubs at the elbow and knee joints. He wears a vintage sailor suit. It has blue pants with a matching blue jacket with white collar. His stockings are white cotton and he wears replaced black shoes.
