This necklace is clearly stamped "333" which is standard gold mark for 8KT gold in Germany about the turn of the last century. For this reason, we believe the necklace to be German. Certainly the workmanship and design of the necklace is high quality, which would be in keeping with German standards. The necklace consists of 15 graduated oval moonstones, strung on a delicate gold chain. The moonstones are luminous and watery. The necklace measures just over 16 inches in length. This piece is in excellent condition considering it is over 100 years old.
