This beautifully made turquoise bangle is likely to be European. I suspect this due to the design and nature of the closure. It tests for 18KT yellow gold and is set with 14 natural turquoise cabochons. These cabochons vary in tone and size, consequently, there are different shaped ovals around the bracelet. The turquoise plaques show some wear due to age. There are natural veins and fissures and different tones of turquoise. The back of the bracelet shows the matrix from which these stones originated. The bracelet is approximately 60 years old and is hand made. Between the bezel set turquoise are delicate gold crossbars, each of which has been cut and decorated by hand. The workmanship is excellent and this is a stunning design. The closure is buried and unusual. There is a screw fitting which holds the bracelet together and forms an invisible closure (pictured). The bracelet is in good condition the interior of the bracelet measures just over 7 inches.
