Wonderful for your Collection! We are offering this Antique Pair of Ice Skates which date to the early 1800's. Wood platforms with brass inserts at the toes ends! The leather toe holders and buckles are intact and in good condition. Very similar to those made by Marsden Brothers Ridge Street Works in Sheffield England however these could have been made in the U.S. of A as there is no sign of a maker on the blades. There has been an old repair to pin and glue the heel on one platform together from a split. Wood has been cleaned and there is an impression of "25" and "10" half visible on the underside of one sole indicating a possible U.S. of A. origin. The length on these skates is 11".
