Antique - Limoges - Artist Signed - Dessert/Berry Bowl
This piece is signed by B.W. Cooper. It was customary to acquire pieces from Limoges, Haviland, B&Co, etc. in the late 1800's and have an artist hand paint them to your liking. We are offering several pieces in our store that were painted by the artist, B.W. Cooper. Not much is known about this artist, but it appears that they painted in both La Seynie France and also in the U.S.A. This artist chose the softest pinks, yellows and greens to decorate the porcelain with. I've never seen such pastels in this time period. The pieces we've collected date from 1910 to 1912. Some of the porcelain is from Limoges, some Haviland, still others B & Co, France. What we do know about all the pieces is that they are lovely - ONE OF A KIND - very unique! - and very delicate. Look through the shop and see what pieces you might like to have!
