Nippon Serving Bowl
Wow! This is a great example of a Hand Painted Nippon Serving Bowl! This Bowl measures 5 1/2" wide and is 1" tall. This piece is back stamped with the #79 RC Nippon which stands for Royal Crockery (fine china) per Joan Van Pattens Collectors Encyclopedia of Nippon Porcelain, 6th series. This piece dates between 1891 and 1921. It is in fantastic shape for its age! There are no chips, cracks or fractures on this piece. The design is beautiful and the colors are really stunning! This would be a perfect piece for any Nippon Collector!
