Nippon Tea Set with Six Saucers and Six Serving Plates

What a gorgeous design on this Hand Painted Nippon Tea Set! The tea pot measures 9" tall and 9" wide (spout to handle). There are six matching tea cups, saucers and serving plates. This set is marked with the green #47 M in wreath Hand Painted Nippon mark per Joan Van Pattens Collectors Encyclopedia of Nippon Porcelain, 6th series. This mark was used between 1911 and 1921. This is a Nippon transitional piece, meaning it was made in the early 20's because of the added Made in Japan mark on the piece. Their is a small chip on the underside of the lid of the tea pot and one saucer has a minute chip on the backside of its rim. I've tried to show both in the pictures. This is a great set, and looks very nice in my hutch. It's a great addition for any Nippon Collector - or tea set collector!
