Keystone 6400 Ride 'Em Toy Train Locomotive and Tender Ca. 1929

6400 Ride on pressed steel toy train made by the Keystone MFG Co. in Boston, Mass. Keystone made a large line of pressed steel toys including trucks, planes, buses, and construction equipment.

Their Ride 'Em line was highly successful since it allowed the child to ride on and steer the toy. The toys were constructed of heavy steel and had hard rubber tires that could support up to 200 pounds.

There were several different variations of this locomotive made, this one has the two large steerable tires in the front and 4 smaller rubber tires in the back. Overall the train is in excellent condition with only some minor scratches and slight oxidation. Still has original bell, hubcaps, and the original decals are about 95% there. Paint is still very bright and is clean and shiny. They definitely don't make toys like this anymore. 26"L x 13-1/2"H
