18th Century Primitive Earthenware Grease Lamp

An Early 18th Century earthenware single crusie grease lamp. One of the earliest forms of lighting. This lamp would have been filled with grease, fat scraps, fish oil, etc. then a simple wick or rag would have been inserted in the spout to feed from the oil. A great addition to any early lighting collection or a great decorator piece. 1-1/2"H x 3"L
