Very Early Herodian Primitive Earthenware Grease Lamp

A very early earthenware single crusie grease lamp. Although I am not positive it could be a first century herodian lamp. One of the earliest forms of lighting. This lamp would have been filled with grease, fat scraps, fish oil, etc. then a simple wick or rag would have been inserted in the spout to feed from the oil. A great addition to any early lighting collection or a great decorator piece. 1-1/2"H x 3"L
