Vintage 1930's Chein Happy Hooligan Walker Tin Wind Up Toy

Vintage 1932 J. Chein & Co. No. 83 Happy Hooligan Mechanical Walking Toy. Happy Hooligan was Fred Opper's comic character that was in newspapers from 1900 to 1932. Has the early Chein logo in a yellow circle on his back and also has a copyright mark of 1932 King Features Syn. Inc. The toy has a tab key for winding which causes Hooligan to waddle away. Light play wear consistent with age, the wind up is working and is in overall excellent condition (please see photos). Just a great tin toy from one of the great American toy makers. 6"H
