18th Century Primitive Tin Foot warmer / Foot stove - Rare form

Early foot warmers were used in horse drawn carriages. Beautiful standard construction of wood and punched, pierced tin, all original. This foot stove features an unusual design it is made with a wooden top and bottom but does not have the corners(they are not missing), top and bottom are nailed directly to the tin plus the usual wire handle. A nice Americana accent piece for any country home. Circa 1740-1830. 9" x 8-3/4" x 5-7/8H.
