First Edition of this collectable book of Alaska pre-statehood. A great book for anyone interested in Alaska of the 1950's. Published in 1953 by the University of Alaska and the Aretie Institute of North America. Fourty illustrations as well as a 3 page pull out. Pages show no foxing, writing or stains. Hard back cover with staining and fading. Slightly bent spine and very lightly bumped corners. Great reading copy! 528 pages including index. Printed on glossy photographic paper typical for the period. Smells musty as a good old book should. Measures 9 1/4 by 6 1/2.
