In 1963 Jewels by Trifari ran a full page advertisement showcasing the different pieces from the Cavalcade collection that a man should give the various women (secretary, daughter, wife) in his life. "Denise" is the lucky one who gets the pin. The sets came in various color combinations. The rhinestones are in gem tones of emerald green and deep sapphire blue, channel-set in a graceful, curving oval pattern on gold tone Trifanium. Julia C. Carroll features both a photograph of the set and a reproduction of the advertisement in Collecting Costume Jewelry 202 on pages 230-231.
Measurements: The brooch is 2 1/8 inches (5.2 cm) wide and 1 1/2 inch wide 3.5 cm) with a standard safety clasp. The extra long pin to the clasp will hold the brooch secure no matter the angle you chose to wear it.
Condition: The brooch is in excellent vintage condition with minimal signs of wear to the rhinestones or metal. Please use the zoom feature to review all the photographs carefully, as they are an important part of the description.
Marks: The brooch is marked "TRIFARI©" with the crown symbol over the T. Trifari pieces featured in advertisements are a particular favorites with collectors, and are a clear indicator which pieces the company itself believed would be popular.
