Vintage Exceptional Eugene Chandelier Brooch with Faux Pearls
This is a big, impressive piece in excellent condition - no verdigris and silver tone metal in great shape. It is unusual to find one of these brooches still in this great of condition - looks as if never or rarely worn. It is challenging to photograph a piece with this much detail, particularly when the colors of white/clear don't show contrast well.
Marks: A cartouche on the back says "Eugene." Eugene Shultz was born in 1911 and died 1964. "Eugene Jewelry" stated in 1952 and was out of business by 1962. Eugene did all his own designs and his designs were handmade. Prior to beginning his own business, he worked for Miriam Haskell. His pieces are considered the most rare of the style that was represented by Miriam Haskell, Robert DeMario, and Robert and are highly collectible.
