Vintage Dragon's Breath Turtle Pin

This adorable dragon's breath turtle pin wants to wander into your life! There isn't a lot of true dragon's breath jewelry available, and much of that tends towards the plain oval cabochons. This pin shows imagination by making the large dragon's breath cabochon the turtle shell, then surrounding that with clear rhinestones, a gold tone body, and tiny red rhinestone eyes. What a cutie!

Measurements: 1 1/2 inch (4 cm) long by 1 inch (2.5 cm) wide.

Condition: The pin looks wonderful, but vintage, with some darkening to the metal settings holding the clear rhinestones. Please use the zoom feature to review the photographs carefully, as they are an important part of the description.

Marks: This is an unsigned beauty. Much of the dragon's breath jewelry originated in Czechoslovakia, but the origin of this particular piece is unknown. Dragon's breath is often misidentified: it is a jelly type cabochon (usually red/purple colors, but not always) with sparks of a blue lights that shimmer (those are the "breath" of the dragon).
