Antique French Aubusson Handmade Wool and Silk Tapestry

Gorgeous colors in this piece! It's a French Aubusson tapestry handmade in the late 19th century of wool and silk. The scene is of a woman walking with her dog in a wooded landscape beside a stream. A bridge and buildings are in the distance, further still are the mountains. A garland of flowers forms the border. The colors are rich and the detail is good. There are many shades greens, blues, red, pinks and a number of neutral tones. No backing. There are small brass rings on the back for hanging on a rod. Tapestries warm up a space and add wonderful color and texture. This one is in very good condition, no flaws to note. It measures about 69" x 49".
